A Modern Tribute

The 29-year-old model arrived May 20 in a custom Schiaparelli creation by Daniel Roseberry: an ivory dress with trompe l'oeil lace embroidery made from cords and anchor threads. A plunging neckline is held by a black pendant and the gown finishes in a tiered mermaid train, while sleeves reach the wrists and flare for drama.

Handmade Details

According to a press release, the embellishment demanded 22,160 hours of work and the expertise of 130 artisans. Hadid completed the look with diamond earrings, a geometric diamond ring and a slicked-back updo.
