From Harris backer to reluctant ally

Just months after praising Harris for "redefining the Democratic Party" and endorsing her 2024 bid, Cuban has shifted tone. He has recently criticized Democratic messaging and said he does not want Harris to run again. At the TrumpRX event he sidestepped questions about his politics, saying, "I'm not talking about my politics at all."

On running himself

Cuban has long been noncommittal about a presidential bid. He told interviewers he could do the job "relative to anybody else" but would not subject his family to the scrutiny and said his past mistakes would be amplified if he ran.
