Alcock, now 26, recalled living in the attic of her family home because there weren't enough rooms and the space was unbearably hot. While appearing in the Australian series Upright at 18, she also worked at a popular Sydney restaurant, washing dishes in an open kitchen where everyone could see her.
After two seasons of Upright, Alcock landed the breakout part of young Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO's House of the Dragon, appearing in both season one and season two. That role helped propel her into bigger studio projects.
